Canopi is a framework, which enables agencies to plan and work together to deliver services to children, young people and their families in the communities where they live.
Its aim is to provide:
Better access to services for children, young people and their families.
More integrated delivery of services, and
Better matching of services to local and individual needs.
Canopi is based on a set of standards for checking and monitoring how well services work together and enables the sharing of good practice.
Fframwaith will work towards establishing the local Canopi partnerships in each of the 12 school cluster areas.
Multi-agency working has been shown to be an effective way of supporting children, young people and their families and securing real improvements in their life.
The benefits of Canopi are:
Proved outcomes for children, young people and their families.
Increased knowledge and understanding across partnerships of each agencies roles and responsibilities.
Improved relationships and communication between agencies.
Enhanced co-ordination of services for children, young people and their families.
The Canopi Board is a multi-agency group who operate on behalf of the Fframwaith Partnership. Its role is to:
Oversee the development and implementation of Canopi.
Promote the co-ordination of services within the locality partnerships.
Improve links between universal services, early intervention and prevention services as well as specialised services.
The Canopi Board is made up of representatives from:
Local Authority
Health
Police
Voluntary Sector
Fframwaith
Community Safety Partnership
Communities First
Welsh Language Groups
Local Safeguarding Children
Youth Offending Service
Local Canopi Partnerships have representatives from key stakeholders to plan and co-ordinate local delivery of services for children and young people aged up to 25, and their families within their own communities. Local Canopi partnerships will:
Support the development of integrated multi-agency services by co-ordinating the infrastructure.
Identify and build upon the range of existing services and planned developments locally.
Work towards achieving the agreed standards for multi-agency working.
Champions are staff from different service areas with experience in partnership working who have a role to:
Support the development of locality partnerships.
Promote locality partnerships within their organisation.
Share good practice.
These standards ensure that each service which contributes to Canopi partnerships:
Understand the needs of children and young people and how services meet those needs.
Is clear about its roles and responsibilities within multi-agency working.
Has good communication arrangements in place to keep all stakeholders informed.
Has agreed assessment and referrals processes in place.
Has information sharing processes and monitoring systems in place.
Provide quality services and these services are reviewed and revised.
Have arrangements in place for safeguarding children.

Bydd Fframwaith yn gweithio tuag at y nod o sefydlu partneriaethau Canopi lleol ymhob un o’r 12 o ardaloedd clwstwr.
Mae gwaith ymchwil yn dangos bod gwaith aml-asiantaeth yn ffordd effeithiol o fod yn gefn i blant, pobl ifainc a’u teuluoedd a gofalu bod gwelliannau er gwell i’w bywydau.

Mae gan Bartneriaethau Canopi Lleol gynrychiolwyr ar ran budd-ddeiliaid allweddol i gydlynu gwasanaethau lleol ar gyfer plant a phobl ifainc hyd at 25 oed a’u teuluoedd yn y gymuned. Bydd partneriaethau Canopi lleol yn:
Gefn i waith datblygu gwasanaethau aml-asiantaeth cyfun trwy gydlynu’r rhwydwaith mewnol.
Pennu’r ystod o wasanaethau sydd ohoni a datblygiadau lleol sydd ar waith, ac adeiladu ar y ddarpariaeth yma.
